A screaming deal for a hard to find 12 gauge round that usually commands a premium for the loadout. This is a great intermediate game shell that can bridge across the gap between several different types of game with the versatile 1 Buck size and the tightly packed 16 pellet payload of lead in a controlled flight cup that still manages to offer significant performance out of the standard 2 ¾” shell.
The 1 buck is an excellent threat stopper in a home defense scenario too (from urban to rural), or on a larger rural property where you need some powerful knock down but cannot afford to be reckless with penetration. A great load for coyotes at longer distances that prowl around livestock, or for threats coming through a front or back door that need to be stopped where they stand. The 1 buck will minimize second target concerns from a friendly fire perspective. The 1 Buck 16 pellet spread is devastating and tight on big game and on human defensive targets from 15 feet (5 yards) to about 125 feet (about 40 yards+).
Capable of taking out big game up to about 400 lbs., and capable out to about 70 yards, this load is best suited for targets in the 200-300 lbs. range and the 30-50 yard range, where it excels.
