Starting with the Russian imperial army, Barnaul Machine Planthas produced ammo for each of the powers controlling Russia during its longhistory; during World War II, it was responsible for producing half of theSoviets’ total ammunition supply. The plant takes its name from its home cityof Barnaul, where it evacuated during WWII and where it remains today. Itsspecialty today is rifle and shotgun cartridges.
