Precision machine inlet on a 5 axis pantograph. Our “B” profile stock is pre-inlet for a “B” profile barrel in .40, .45, or .50 caliber. Shaped from the lock panels back, the forend is square ahead of the lock panels. A rectangular block from the same blank is included, for making a sliding wooden patchbox, accessories, or for testing stains and finishes. Pre-inlet for a large Siler flint or percussion lock and our small Bivins’ buttplate. Inlet your choice of single, or set triggers. We offer a complete set of wax castings in iron or brass, to fit this rifle. Rod hole is drilled 3/8″ full depth. About 13-3/4″ pull, 3-1/4″ drop form the line of sights. Buttplate area is 5 x 1-7/8″.Specifications for pre-inlet stocks:
- Drop and trigger reach: drop is 3-1/4″ from the line of sights to heel, at 13-3/4″ of pull
- Barrel channel size: Isaac Haines “B” profile 38″ swamped barrel
- Butt end: 1-7/8″ wide by 5″ high, cut for buttplate
- Buttplate: BP-BIVINS-S-B wax cast brass or BP-BIVINS-S-I wax cast steel
- Lock, flint: LOCK-SL-FL-RH large right hand Siler flint lock
- Lock, percussion: LOCK-SL-CL-RH large right hand Siler percussion lock
- Ramrod hole & groove: 3/8″ diameter, drilled full depth
