Description
This horn is scrimshawed with MicMac style geometric motifs by artist Mark Harmen. This powder horn is finished with a warm yellow patina on the body, a dark brown tip, and a yellow patina turned spout. The tip has a raised end to secure a strap, and an engrailed border to the horn body. The horn measures 15-1/4″ around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the wood base. The turned horn finial adds about 1″ to the overall length. A combination of small and large brass tacks secure the wood base to the horn. A turned horn stopper is fitted to the spout. This powder horn will be a joy to both use and display. Order it for a ten day visual inspection. You will be delighted.
