Description
Show up at hunting camp this year with something that stands out from the crowd. This is a very nice .30-06 Featherweight rifle, produced in 1962, topped with a Nikon 3-9x40mm scope in Leupold mounts. Itgrades in NRA excellent condition.
The original bluing grades at 95% and is in excellent condition with just slight edge wear and no rubs, pits or other noteworthy blemishes. The bore of the 22″ barrel is bright with strong rifling. A borescope inspection shows a bore that grades at 9/10, with no pits, no erosion and no heat damage. The stock is a beautiful piece of nicely grained American walnut and a factory Winchester recoil pad. The stock finish has been nicely restored and shows no damage or evidence of use. The wood is perfect with no handling marks, gouges cracks, oil stains or other problems. The stock has not been bedded and the checkering is crisp and unblemished. The bolt is serial numbered to the rifle
The scope is a nice Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40mm in matte black and with a duplex reitlce. The scope is crystal clear with no optical issues. There are a couple very tiny blemishes in the black finish of the scope eyepiece. There are no dents, fogging, gouges or other issues with the scope. The bases are Leupold. The rings are matte black Redfield of the hard-to-find smooth top / bottom screw type.
