This 7.62×54mmR cartridge from WOLF Performance Ammunition’s Military Classic line of ammunition sports a 200 grain projectile. The soft point bullet’s jacket stops shy of its tip to expose its core, allowing the bullet to expand to significantly greater than its original diameter as it travels within a soft target. The bullet’s pointed profile both streamlines its shape for greater accuracy and facilitates penetration upon impact with the target. This round is a great choice if you’re hunting in an area where hollow point bullets are banned, but still wish to utilize the kind of stopping power that an expanding bullet provides.
This cartridge features a distinctively Russian Berdan primed steel casing. It has a polymer coating to give it corrosion resistance as well as to facilitate feeding. This casing is not reloadable, but its low price more than compensates for that fact.
