This 6.8 Remington SPC ammo uses a 115 grain open tip matchbullet to provide maximum accuracy in precision shooting, whether for huntingor competition. It produces a muzzle velocity of about 2,625 feet per second. Each box holds 20 rounds in Boxer-primed brass cases.
Remington created the 6.8x43mm SPC cartridge for AR-patternrifles in partnership with US military marksmen. Although ultimately notadopted by the US military for logistics reasons, the cartridge has been shownto demonstrate strong performance at intermediate ranges, delivering highermuzzle energy than the traditional 5.56 NATO load. This property lends itselfto greater effectiveness in hunting game such as deer, against which .223/5.56ammo is often regarded as suboptimal.
Remington, the US’s oldest arms and ammunition manufacturer, produces its cartridges in Lonoke, Arkansas. These include UMC rangeammunition, Golden Saber hollow points, and Express cartridges and shotshells.
