This ammunition is extra production from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri. Known by the military as M193 Ball, these 5.56 NATO rounds use reusable brass cases and Boxer primers. The 55 grain boat-tailed full metal jacket bullet produces a muzzle velocity of 3,240 feet per second. Each box hold 20 rounds of bulk packed ammunition.
As 5.56x45mm NATO ammo, these cartridges are safe to use in most AR-15 pattern rifles. However, users should exercise caution with .223 Remington firearms, particularly hunting firearms, and check with the manufacturer if in doubt regarding compatibility.
