Remington UMC ammunition is a great choice for high volume target shooting. These .308 Winchester cartridges are a great choice for .308/7.62 NATO rifles, firing a 150 grain full metal jacket (“metal case” in Remington jargon) bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,820 feet per second. This ammo produces solid long-range accuracy without the high cost of match grade rounds.
Like other Remington ammo, UMC cartridges are produced in Lonoke, Arkansas using non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases. The UMC (“Union Metallic Cartridge”) brand dates back to the Civil War era.
