This 308 Win cartridge from Hornady’s Custom line of ammunition sports a 150 grain boat tail soft point InterLock projectile. The bullet’s smaller diameter base reduces drag to impart several benefits to its performance including a higher ballistic coefficient, lower sensitivity to cross winds, and and a flatter trajectory. Because its core is exposed at its tip, this bullet will deform upon impact to create a deep, debilitating wound channel. The InterLock ring embedded in the bullet’s core ensures that its core and jacket will remain locked together during expansion to provide high weight retention for deep penetration. This bullet further features a cannelure for accurate and consistent crimping and inner grooves that strategically weaken its jacket’s upper section to assure controlled expansion.
