This economical zinc-platedsteel-cased ammo uses a 55 grain full metal jacket bullet and achieves a muzzlevelocity of 3,050 feet per second, close to that of M193 ball ammo. Each boxholds 20 rounds with non-corrosive Berdan primers. The steel casings in thisammo cannot be reloaded.
Silver Bear ammo is made by the Barnaul Machine Plant, afactory located in Barnaul, Russia. The plant was founded in St. Petersburgduring the era of the Russian Empire and has operated in its current home sinceWorld War II, when it evacuated from Moscow to escape the Germans. During thewar, it produced 50% of the Soviet army’s ammunition. Today, the company is aclosely held private enterprise producing both ammo and shooting products suchas targets devices.
