This cartridge’s bullet is a target shooter’s best pal. The full metal jacket boat tail features the hard gilding metal shell it needs to feed reliably, a cannelure which stops the bullet from shifting out of its seating in the case, and a tapered base which makes it more ballistically efficient. The bullet’s heavier 62 grain weight does reduce its muzzle velocity to 3,020 fps, but the added mass makes it less susceptible to wind drift – perfect if you’re covering serious distances at an outdoor range.
