This 270 WSM cartridge from Winchester’s Super-X line of ammunition sports a 150 grain projectile. The Power-Point bullet features an alloyed lead core exposed at its soft tip to maintain its integrity in flight, permit deep penetration within targets, and initiate rapid expansion upon impact to create a wide wound channel. The bullet’s ability to expand is further promoted by its contoured jacket’s strategic notching, which creates fault lines along which the mushrooming can occur. The jacket further facilitates feeding and helps to maintain the bullet’s shape until impact. Winchester has offered their Power-Point bullet for a very long time, and as such you’ll benefit from their years of research and refinement while you enjoy this round on a hunting excursion.
